ADVENT INVESTIGATIVE GROUP: ABOUT US Fred Ritz – President. Rising quickly through the ranks of law enforcement, Fred began his 20-year career as an academy cadet and retired as the Assistant to the Chief of Police for the Oceanside police department. He was then asked to become Director of Patrol Services for Knight Security where he created a patrol and alarm response division. Fred helped create their security policy and procedure development, recruiting, hiring, training and schedule/supervisory roles. He then became Assistant Commandant of Cadets at the Army-Navy Academy in Carlsbad, CA where he was responsible for the day-to-day operation and supervision of 12 staff members who directed and controlled the student life of this private military boarding school. From there, Fred worked as an Investigator for US Investigations Services, Inc, which conducted federal background investigations for National Security Clearances. He interviewed subjects, employers, references, neighbors and current/former spouses validating information for government and our armed services. This included full federal report write-ups and required extensive case management and organization. Seeing a need for his services in the private sector, Fred started Advent Investigative Group, Inc. where he uses his learned skills and experience daily. He holds a Certificate for Legal Assistant (paralegal) Program from the University of San Diego, a BA in Behavioral Science from National University and an AA in Criminal Justice from Mira Costa College.
